What are online DUI Classes?
Online DUI classes are educational programs designed to provide individuals who have been convicted of driving under the influence (DUI) with the knowledge and skills they need to prevent future DUI incidents. These classes are typically court-ordered and can range in length from a few hours to several months, depending on the severity of the offense and the requirements of the court.
Online DUI classes are becoming increasingly popular due to their convenience and flexibility. They can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection, which means that individuals can complete the program from the comfort of their own homes or while traveling. Additionally, online DUI classes can often be completed at the individual's own pace, allowing them to fit the program into their busy schedules.
However, it's important to note that not all courts accept online DUI classes as a substitute for in-person classes. Before enrolling in an online DUI class, individuals should check with their court to ensure that the program meets the court's requirements.
According to the NHTSA, close to 11,000 people died in 2017 alone from DUI related alcohol crashes. This is a 1.7% increase from 2016 and accounts for nearly 28% of all crash fatalities in the U.S. annually.
