We are proud to offer anger management coaching for those clients seeking a more intimate, customized and private experience for learning skills in anger management. Anger management coaching is ideal for corporate executives, physicians, attorneys, mental health professionals, nurses and hospital staff, law enforcement and fire department personnel, athletes, and individuals seeking one on one anger management/executive coaching.
Anger management coaching is not psychotherapy, but rather an educational and instructional approach to teaching clients skills. Our anger management coaching uses our highly acclaimed client workbook, "Anger Management for the Twenty-first Century". This curriculum has been approved by the California State Board of Corrections for the training of Probation, Parole, and Correctional staff and managers as well as the California Board of Behavioral Sciences for continuing education requirements for MFTs and LCSWs.
All participants will be given a pre and post assessment, which will help determine strengths and weaknesses in their ability to manage and control anger effectively. Participants will also be provided with additional learning materials as well as instructional videos and DVD's. Anger management coaching is ideal for those that are highly motivated and ready to make a change to their current skill set and behaviors. It is also a viable alternative for employers seeking assistance for employees who need specialized help for better managing anger, stress, and aggressive behaviors.
Participants will learn the 8-tools of Anger Control which include:
- Stress management
- Empathy Development
- Learning to respond instead of react
- Improving self-talk
- Assertive Communication
- Expectation Management
- Forgiveness
- Retreat and think things over
All anger management coaching sessions are 50 minutes in length. Days and times of appointments can be chosen by the client, space permitting.
