This practice is a professional California corporation operating as AJ Novick Group, Inc. Dr. Ari Novick, Ph.D., is a licensed California psychotherapist (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist – License #42962) with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Novick provides professional psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, couples, and families throughout California via secure Zoom sessions. Services are available to clients in Laguna Beach, Santa Cruz (Aptos), and surrounding communities through convenient online appointments.
Dr. Novick specializes in Anger Management and Stress Management for adults, adolescents, couples, families, and corporate professionals. In addition to these specialty areas, he works extensively with clients experiencing relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, communication challenges, life transitions, and emotional regulation issues.
AJ Novick Group, Inc. also offers court, self improvement and legal requirement Anger Management and Parenting programs, as well as a wide range of professionally developed online educational courses.
Dr. Novick’s therapeutic approach is primarily cognitive-behavioral, while incorporating an eclectic and practical style tailored to each client’s individual needs. His focus is on providing clients with clear, actionable tools and strategies that can be applied immediately in everyday life. In addition to psychotherapy and counseling services, Dr. Novick also works with professionals and business leaders through executive coaching. Fees & Insurance
Dr. Novick is an out-of-network provider. Clients with PPO insurance plans may be eligible for reimbursement through their insurance carrier. Upon request, a “Superbill” can be provided at the time of service for clients to submit directly to their insurance company for possible reimbursement.
The current fee is $250 per 50-minute session.

Dr. Novick is available for private client appointments Monday through Thursday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. All sessions are conducted securely through Zoom for convenience and accessibility throughout California.
