This practice is a professional CA corporation known as AJ Novick Group, Inc. Ari Novick, Ph.D. has a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is a state Licensed Psychotherapist (MFT License Number 42962). Dr. Novick provides individual psychotherapy, family counseling and couples counseling at two locations: Laguna Beach, and Santa Cruz (Aptos), CA. All sessions are over Zoom.
I specialize in Anger and Stress Management for adults, adolescents, couples, families, individuals and corporations; however, I also see clients for a variety of other reasons, particularly relationship issues, anxiety and depression. Our office also provides Orange County court and probation approved Anger Management and Parenting classes and a variety of online classes.
I am primarily a cognitive-behavioral therapist but have an eclectic style. I like to give clients tangible, concrete tools they can walk away from each appointment. While many people see me for psychotherapy, I also see clients for executive coaching.
I am very good at working with individuals, couples, families, and teens. My style is direct and empathic. I don't just listen and nod. I believe every client should get professional insight into their particular situation and I believe clients should get solid and usable feedback from therapists.
Fees/Payment
I am an out-of-network provider. This means if you have a PPO insurance plan, I can provide a "Superbill" at the time of service for you to submit to your insurance carrier and they will reimburse you directly. My session rate is $250.00 per 50 minute session.
